ya this whole thing is truly amazing. a WHITE 46 yr old upstart would have had a tough time dislodging the clinton dynasty. say what you like about yanks but this is genuinely stirring stuff. that is, if he beats mccain.

really good site i was told about: http://www.realclearpolitics.com/

mmm... that is if hillary doesn't carry on with her apparent campaign to undermine obama at all costs, even after a clear defeat, too.

you're right, though. it is stirring stuff. been a bit premenstrual, but the momentous-ness of this all has made me a bit teary a number of times this week. although, thanks to hillary's shenanigans its been difficult to celebrate here as she's been hogging the news.

interesting time to be here, though.

I just read that Hillary's campaign is $9.5m in debt. And that's not counting the $11m odd that she put in herself. That would make me think that she has to quit any form of undermining and start to make as many friends as possible.

The thing i take away from it is that americans definitely still care deeply about their country and what it does in the world. they are able to admit when they cocked up by electing a moron twice. and they are doing their best to change it (well sort of, and there are limits to the 'will of the people').

it's just so reassuring to see politics rising above cynicism once in a while. i genuinely believe obama's campaign has done that.
